The Pain of Defeat

It is that time of the year again when high school athletes close in on their long quest for a state championship title. The first round of events for me this year was the state wrestling championships held in Oklahoma City. Wrestling is a sport that I never had an interest in until I began my photography career. The sport offers so many visual opportunities on and off the mat. I captured this image of a competitor just after he lost his first round match in the 135 pound division. For those that have and still compete on any level, I am sure you can clearly hear the thoughts going through his mind. I know I can.

  1. Pretty interesting place you’ve got here. Thanx for it. I like such topics and anything that is connected to this matter. I would like to read a bit more on that blog soon.

    Sincerely yours
